England have been on the cusp of something in one day cricket for a while without being able to fully deliver it, while New Zealand are deadly in this format when on form.
The only question for the Kiwis is who will do the damage? Will it be Martin Guptill, a monumentally big hitter at the front of the innings, the brilliance of Williamson or the renegade stroke play of Corey Anderson? Mix in Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Neil Wagner with the ball and they have everything in their armoury to cause havoc.
Quite simply, England will have it all to do on the banks of the River Taff. Their batting is as brilliant as any team in the tournament but can their bowlers do enough damage?
They certainly have the potential. Chris Woakes is arguably their most improved all-round cricketer over the last 12 months, Jake Ball can get good batsmen out and Liam Plunkett has a huge amount of experience. This is a pivotal game for England in this group and will need a packed, partisan crowd behind them.
